Mid-City in association with Canton’s Hilscher-Clarke has been selected as the electrical contractor for a portion of the 970,000-square-foot data center project in New Albany. The Mid-City and Hilscher-Clarke association, known as MCHC, has more than 150 years of combined industry experience. Hilscher-Clarke and Mid-City share very similar values, both operating with the philosophy of doing the right thing.
With headquarters in Canton and facilities in Akron and Coshocton, Hilscher-Clarke serves mainly industrial, commercial, and healthcare customers, and specializes in 24-hour maintenance and repair, oil and gas, automation, advanced testing, data, voice, and video work. The company is led by President Scott Goodspeed, and Vice President of Operations John Fether. Hilscher-Clarke has a robust portfolio of projects, which includes work such as Canton’s Pro Football Hall of Fame, and 365 Data Center. “Working with Hilscher-Clarke has been a really positive experience. They are very similar to our team, and consider their people and customer relationships to be key contributors to their success,” Brian Dew, president of Mid-City, said.
MCHC’s contributions at this major data center project include all lighting, lighting control, branch circuits, and components inside the center’s data halls. This confidential owner is planning two additional data centers here following the completion of this project in 2019.
