Mid-City Electric is proud to announce that it has three 2012 Builder’s Exchange of Central Ohio Craftsmanship Award Winners! The BX is recognizing Dan Sime, Don Bringardner, and Dave Green for their exceptional work at projects in the Columbus area. Don has received the award for his work at the Columbus Commons Pavilion. This project not only included a very difficult electrical service installation, but also required the precise placement of a complex array of conduit work, custom wireways and circuitry into the concrete and steel structures of the pavilion. Don retired shortly after the project’s completion, ending his 41- year career with Mid-City Electric. The BX is recognizing Dave Green for his excellence in overseeing the layout and installation of the electrical components at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Replacement Hospital. Because the building was built on a radius, Dave had to follow strict tolerances while locating and making his bends for conduits to ensure a uniform and visually impressive installation. Another Mid-City crew member at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Replacement Hospital, Dan Sime has been named a Craftsman of the Year for his expertise as well. At the 732,000 sq.-ft. healthcare facility, Dan supervised the complete installation of the nurse call, security, and sound and headwall lighting control systems. The nurse call system included in his crew’s installation is the only internet-based nurse call system in Ohio and it is integrated with headwall graphic lighting, the hospital’s paging system, and a staff-asset locating system. Congratulations to our Craftsman! We are so proud that you are a part of Mid-City’s team.
