Steve began working for Mid-City in 1976, sixteen years after his father Jim Dew founded the company with his partner Jack Kempton. The company has grown tremendously since its early days, and Steve’s hard work has played an integral part in making Mid-City one of the most renowned electrical contractors in Central Ohio.
Steve worked on many projects throughout his time at Mid-City. Some of his most recent accomplishments were the OSU Schottenstein Center Project, and the Columbus Commons Bicentennial Pavilion, which earned a Builder’s Exchange of Central Ohio Craftsmanship Award in 2012.
Away from the office, Steve has always enjoyed spending time with his family and in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and working on his land. His family includes his wife Carolyn, son Nick and his wife Jenn, daughter Emily and her husband Ryan, daughter Aileen and her husband Nick, as well as Steve’s six grandchildren.
We want to thank Steve for his service as well as for the pleasure of working with him. He has always been very enjoyable to have in the office and on the jobsite. We wish you the best Steve! Congratulations on your retirement!
