We wanted to inform everyone that a Mid-City employee at one of our projects has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual is at home and is doing well with only minor symptoms. This person will remain at home for two weeks, and we will communicate with him regularly to monitor his condition. Both Mid-City and the employee are following the guidelines established by the CDC and Ohio Health Department as it relates to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
We want to share with everyone the steps we took to ensure the safety of those on the job site:
- We completed contact tracing to determine if this person had any close or casual contacts during their time on site, and followed up with those named individuals, accordingly. No close contacts were identified. All casual contacts are self-monitoring, and we will check in on them regularly over the next two weeks to stay up to date on how they are doing.
- The infected individual as well as all casual contacts diligently wore their masks, social distanced, and washed their hand regularly while on site.
- While this person who tested positive was working in an open space outdoors, we have sanitized all appropriate areas of the site.
- Before returning to work, the employee will complete our Return to Work protocol, which has been established in accordance with CDC recommendations.
Our continued social distancing, the use of face coverings, daily site entry forms, and hygiene practices will continue to minimize exposure and maintain safety on the jobsite and in the office.
