MC Fitness & Health Project

The MC Fitness & Health project created a two-story, 130,000-square-foot facility dedicated to comprehensive wellness. A new addition to Mount Carmel Health System’s network of care, this building is a combination of a state-of-the art fitness center and emergency department, as well as primary care and specialty physician offices. The building’s purpose mirrors its design providing a medically-integrated approach to help you achieve your optimal health and fitness goals.

As the teledata contractor, our team completed the structured cabling for the entire facility, performing the installation, termination and testing of the horizontal cabling and backbone system. This low-voltage work encompassed the entire horizontal-structured cabling infrastructure, public address system, access point systems, sound and paging system and telemetry system. A very complex network of cabling and equipment, this work was installed for multiple occupants, making the task of coordinating systems with several owners a challenge. The cabling installed consisted of Cat 6, coax, fiber optic backbone and multi-pair copper back-bone and required both termination and testing.

The 50,000-square-foot fitness center at MC Fitness & Health offers patrons an indoor track, a 25-meter, 8-lane lap pool, full-service locker rooms and fitness studios equipped with cardio and strength training equipment.

Being a comprehensive health and fitness facility, the new center will offer integrated medical care in the form of an emergency department, cardiac rehabilitation, chronic disease management, imaging services, occupational health, physical therapy and a Women’s Health Center, along with other primary care and specialty physician offices, including Mount Carmel Sports Medicine Specialists.

The MC Fitness & Health Project reached completion in November 2015 and is now offering its services to Central Ohio patients. We are very proud to be a part of this new dynamic facility!
