We’re excited to share that Candice Ross has joined the Mid-City team as a Site Safety Coordinator.
Candice had an early introduction to the world of safety when she started working for NASA in high school, servicing the NASA centers throughout the nation for five years. Following that experience, Candice worked in recruiting for The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, and later as an operations manager of a local church. From there, Candice continued her career at a Columbus social enterprise, CleanTurn, where she held many different positions including office manager, community engagement manager, and safety compliance officer. “(It was) a bit of a mixed role, but I got to learn a lot and be back-office support to the company’s business lines, demolition, and residential/commercial cleaning,” Candice said.
In her position at Mid-City, Candice works on site and focuses on upholding administration, organization, and development for our people out in the field. Candice attributes her passion for safety to continuous growth and development of her environment. “I got to be part of a group of people who value the importance of making sure that safety and security were always held to the highest standard. That is something that I have carried with me,” Candice said. “I love building both people and places; safety provides an avenue for me to do that.”
Candice attended The Ohio State University for undergrad, receiving her BSBA in Operations Management with a minor in Leadership Studies. From there, she continued her education at Liberty University, where she attained her Masters of Divinity with a cognate of Pastoral Counseling.
