Unlike the BX Safety Innovation Award, which is based on unique safety practices, the BX Safety Achievement Award is determined by evaluating statistical data.
Applicants are evaluated on their workplace injuries and illnesses from the previous calendar year, along with the company’s workers’ compensation experience modification rate (EMR). National figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics are used as benchmarks in the judging process and finalists are subject to site visits from a team of BX judges.
It feels good to be recognized alongside so many other fantastic safety program leaders who are working hard to make safety a part of their company culture too. I want to thank everyone in the field and on our Safety Committee for supporting our safety program by practicing our policies every day, Ryan Dew, Director of Human Resources and Safety, said.
We want to congratulate everyone in the field for making safety a priority and allowing us to be recognized for our safety record for the 12th year.
