Join us in congratulating Paul Poklinkowski on his promotion to Prefabrication Manager! As the Prefabrication Manager, Paul now oversees the operations of our Prefab Department as they build devices for projects and provide support to projects as needed.
Paul has been around the trade since he was young, attributing his interest in the electrical construction world to his friends and family. “I grew up in a family that could build anything and learned electric work from family members working on a variety of projects. I enjoy building things, and the added reward of seeing the finished project, ” Paul said. “I was looking for a career with growth and room for advancement. A friend suggested the IBEW, so I applied and was accepted into the Electrical Trades Apprenticeship Program.”
Since joining the Mid-City team in 2010, Paul has worked on a wide range of sites including the BX Craftsmanship and BX Safety award-winning project-the Nationwide Children’s Hospital West Energy Plant! In his 10+ years of service, Paul has been mentored by a number of individuals here at Mid-City, including our Preconstruction Manager Steve Engle, who has played a crucial role in helping him navigate the world of prefab. Director of Operations Bill Brethel, Director of Field Operations Kipp Criswell, and Director of Estimating Dave Anderson have also been major mentors of his, Paul said. He also feels that programs such as the BX Field Leadership Excellence Series and the Foreman Leadership Program with Mark Breslin have been formative experiences in his professional journey.
Paul is excited about this opportunity to contribute to Mid-City in this way as the industry continues to grow and evolve.
Keep up the great work, Paul!
