Lynda Louttit

Preconstruction Coordinator

36 years ago, Lynda saw an ad in the Columbus Dispatch for an Electrical Apprenticeship with IBEW Local 683. She wanted to do missions work and had the skills needed, so she applied. Out of 350 applicants, only 15 were chosen and 2 were women. Lynda was one of them. After completing her apprenticeship, she found out she was the 12th woman to accomplish that at the time. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to have had very diverse work experiences—everything from chemical plants to high rises, small shops to massive data centers & everything in between. She also worked overseas for 10 years working as a Maintenance Electrician at the US Embassies in Ukraine, Russia, China, & Vietnam, as well as Camp Humphreys—an army base in South Korea. As Preconstruction Coordinator, Lynda prepares and modifies electrical and technical blueprints for our employees in the field. In her free time, she enjoys reading, quilting, painting, listening to music, and completing word puzzles, but most especially, traveling.
