Steve Driver

Project Manager

Biography

Steve was born in Canton, Ohio, and raised in Columbus before heading west to California on his 18th birthday. After nearly a decade on the West Coast, he returned to Ohio and eventually found his calling in a field he never expected: construction. With no family background in the trades and no initial interest, Steve’s career began when a close friend handed him an application and simply said, “Fill this out—you’ll be good at it.” That single conversation set the foundation for what would become a highly successful and fulfilling path.

Now with over 16 years of experience in the electrical trade—11 of those with Mid-City Electric—Steve has played an integral role on major projects including Parks Edge Phases 1 and 2, the Nationwide Children’s Hospital West Energy Plant, and data centers for AWS, Google, and QTS. Known for his reliability, hands-on expertise, and strong work ethic, Steve is a valued member of the Mid-City team.

Outside of work, Steve is a proud husband of over a decade and a dedicated father to four children, all of whom are involved in various school and extracurricular activities. He and his wife give back to their community by coaching youth soccer through their children’s elementary school, with his wife also helping run the program. Steve brings the same level of commitment and teamwork to his family and community as he does to the job site.
