Rhodes Tower

Downtown Columbus

2024

Scope of Work

Mid-City is proud to support a comprehensive series of infrastructure and lighting upgrades throughout Rhodes Tower, enhancing both functionality and user experience across multiple floors.

Our scope included radio room lighting, louver lighting installations, binary clock restoration, renovation of the elevator distribution systems, and several first-floor improvements.

To ensure safety and precision during the louver lighting installation, barricades were installed at each louver, with nine 4-foot fixtures thoughtfully placed in every bay.

A key highlight of the project was the first-floor hearing room renovation, a high-visibility space used by multiple departments, including the Governor’s office. The updated room now features four 86” TVs, a 139” projector screen, integrated microphones, and three touch panels that provide seamless control of presentations and AV functions.

Additionally, at the main entrance of the building, existing fixtures were demolished and replaced with new can lighting as part of the soffit lighting upgrade.

While some elements of the work were modest in scope, each improvement contributes to a polished, modern environment that will be seen and utilized daily.
