ADAMH

Columbus

72,437 sqft

Scope of Work

ADAMH is Columbus’s new mental health and addiction crisis center, created on behalf of the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County. This 72,437 sq. ft. new build offers walk-in services, an intake and assessment area, a 23-hour observation unit, an impatient unit (16 rooms), substance use disorder treatment services, medical services, a pharmacy, family support services, and administrative services. It will serve as the go-to facility in Franklin County for local hospitals and first responders to send patients to who are struggling with mental health and addiction crises.

As the electrical design assist contractor for this facility, our electricians will install a new 2000-amp service, 1000 KW backup generator, and 1,537 light fixtures. We will coordinate with Comtex, a laundry service located next to ADAMH’s new facility, to re-feed their main power through a new transformer that is being provided by the city. Our team will also complete all technology installations, including horizonal cabling, an overhead paging system, life-safety DAS, also known as Emergency Responder Radio System for first responders and fire departments to use in emergency situations, access control, IP based video surveillance, video intercoms, emergency phones, panic buttons, overhead TV speakers in guest areas, and owner-provided TVs and projectors.

This facility is projected to complete in 2024.
